Ella Pearce Rigsbee, 94, resident of 1575 Goss Road, Creedmoor, died Wednesday evening at her home. Born in Durham, Mrs. Rigsbee was the daughter of the late Wesley and Clovina Pearce. She was a homemaker who loved to make quilts and clothes for her family. She was a great cook. She was the widow of the late Otis Lucas Rigsbee, who died in 1982. Mrs. Rigsbee was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons; Larry Rigsbee and wife Janee of Creedmoor and Lucas Rigsbee and wife Bobbi of Durham; five daughters, Alice Mae Shellington of Wake Forest, Ruby Lee Massingill of Youngesville, Sylvia Lane William and husband Oris of Sanford, Bobbie Jean Williams and husband S.P. of Durham and Betty Vann Huskett of Wake Forest; two sisters, Viola Rigsbee of Snow Hill and Katie Allen of Butner; 41 grandchildren, 50 plus great-grandchildren and neerous great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, neember 10, 2009 at Union Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Rigsbee Family Cemetery, Baptist Road, Durham. The Rev. Donee Cash and Rev.
