Elmer Wayne Bouldin

Mr. Elmer Wayne Bouldin, Sr., 93, of Pittsboro died September 4, 2012 in his home. Mr. Bouldin was born May 17, 1919 in Surry County, the son of James Frank Bouldin aneelizabeth Creed Bouldin. He moved with his family to Chatham County around age 2 and lived the majority of his life there. Mr. Bouldin worked primarily in construction in order to support his passion for farming. He was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and also taught Sunday school. He was a member of the Pittsboro Lions Club. Mr. Bouldin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Hope B. and Doug Clark of Pittsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Harriett Bouldin of Fort Mill, SC; three grandchildren, Josh Bouldin, Olivia Bouldin and Chris Clark; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur Bouldin of Pittsboro, Rev. JR Bouldin of Bear Creek; and sister-in-law, Lillie Bouldin of Pittsboro. He was preceded ineeath by his wife of 60 years, Martha Holt Bouldin. The service to celebrate the life of Mr. Elmer Bouldin will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, September 7, 2012 at Pittsboro Baptist Church with Dr. Tripp Harmon, Rev. Robert Bouldin and Pastor Steve Moore presiding. Interment will follow in Emmaus Baptist Church cemetery. Friends may visit with the Bouldin family from 6 8 pm Thursday at Hall Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro, and at other times at the residence.
