Eloise Thrift White

Eloise Thrift White, 89, of Pittsboro, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at FirstHeath Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. The Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hanks Chapel Christian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. The Family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. Eloise was born in Chatham County on July 14, 1920. She attended the Watts School of Nursing in Durham and worked at Mathieson Clinic and later in the Critical Care Unit at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was a member of Hanks Chapel Christian Church where she was very active and was an avid reader. She cherished her time with family and friends and also enjoyed all styles of needlework. She is survived by two sons, Mike White and wife Debbie and Ronald White and wife Terry, all of Pittsboro, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
