Oxford Elsie Mae Wilson, 87, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2018 at Brantwood Nursing Home. The daughter of the late John Early "Jack and Lelia Riggin Owen, she was born in Harnett County on February 12, 1931. Elsie Mae, formerly of 206 Maplewood Street, Oxford, NC was a retired Medical Health Care Technician from John Umstead Hospital of Butner, NC. She loved flowers and gardening, dancing and swinging under the carport. She loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Elsie Mae is survived by her loving daughters, Jackie W. Warren (Ernest), Mebane and Brenda W. Ellington, Durham; her brother, Robert Owen, NY; her many grandchildren, David Wayne Warren, Mebane; James Brett Warren, Wilmington; Robert W. "Bobby Wilson, Winston Salem; Lorian Leigh Ellington, Raleigh; Dustin Brandon Ellington, Oxford, and her great-grandchildren, Amanda Jane Warren, Hillsborough; Cerenity Leigh and Brooklyn Monroe Williams, Raleigh; Niveah Aliyah Ellington, Oxford Elsie Mae was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Lelia Owen; her husband, Robert Garland Wilson, Jr; her son, David G. Wilson and brothers and sisters, Wilbur Owen, Erby Owen, Bernard Owen, Richard Owen, Sarah Puckett, Susie Blalock, Ethel Lumpkin, and Jearlean Woody. Services to be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Gentry-Newell - Vaughan Chapel with visitation for family and friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Burial to follow service at Hester Baptist Church. Flowers are acceptable, or memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice The Wilson family is being proudly served by Gentry-Newell - Vaughan Funeral Home, Oxford, NC
