Erby Gene Owen

OXFORD: Erby Gene Owen age 63 of 5100 Goochs Mill Road, died Monday June 4, 2007 at Granville Medical Center. A native of Granville Co. and the son of the late John E. and Lelia Riggan Owen, a member of Hester Baptist Church. Retired Oxford Voluneer Fireman with 37 years of service and was retired from Mutual Distributors Corp. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday June 6, 2007 from Hester Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenny Sherin. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Angela Owen Brooks and husband, Brian, of Oxford NC; two sons, Stephen Owen and wife Annette, of Oxford NC and Donee Owen and wife, Nancy of Oxford NC; two grandchildren Stephen Todd Owen and Kamryn Nichole Brooks. A long time friend and companion Diane Brogden and her children. Two sisters, Elsie Mae Wilson and Jearlean Owen Woody both of Oxford NC; Two brothers, Robert L. Owen, of New York; Wilbur Lee Owen, of Oxford NC. He was preceded ineeath by 3-sisters, Ethel Owen Lumpkins, Susie Lee Owen Blackwell and Sarah Owen Puckett and two brothers, Richard and Bernard T.
