Estelle Burnette Wright

Mrs. Estelle Burnette Wright, 95, of Pittsboro died January 5, 2008 at The Laurels of Chatham. Mrs. Wright was born in Chatham County oneeptember 5, 1912, the daughter of Ralph and Flossie Griffin Burnette. She was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church, and retired from Chatham Mills. Mrs. Wright was a loyal, loving, Christian wife and mother. She is survived by her son, Weldon Wright of Winston-Salem; her daughters, DeLois Popp and Jolene "Jo" Rumph, both of Pittsboro; a brother, Lawrence "Red" Burnette of Pittsboro; a sister, Florence Atkinson of Burlington; five grandchildren, Brian Popp, Kelly Popp Vickers, Roland Stoneer, III, Tracy Wozniak, Donna Wright Honeycutt; and seven great-grandchildren, Julian Popp, Luke Popp, Jackson Wright Vickers, Finley Parker Vickers, Stephen Wright, Huneeigh Wozniak, Quinn Wozniak. The service to celebrate Mrs. Wright's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Pittsboro Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Service in Pittsboro, and at other times at the residence of DeLois Popp. Flowers are acceptable, or you may send memorials to either Mt.
