Estelle Perry Ritch, 92, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother "Mama" went peacefully to be with the Lord on neember 4, 2010. Estelle was born in 1918 at home in Wake County NC. She was a devoted mother of one, giving all her life to family and to those who knew her. Estelle retired from American Tobacco Company in Durham aneenjoyed retirement, spending time with Charlie and the chaps. She loved going to the coast, fishing and family. Another passion was basketball and the Duke Blue Devils. Coach K neer knew about one of his biggest fans. She was a great cook aneensured that her entire family loved food like she did, especially Sunday lunch and a little dessert. She was active ineer church and loved the Lord all her life. Her personal testimony of overcoming great obstacles is a shining beacon of faith and hope to all those who knew and loved her. Her sacrifices were supreme. Words will neer capture how much of a positive impact she made on those who were close to her aneeven some who were not. She was a special woman, possessing great strength, and making the most of everything that she put her mind to. Estelle is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann Bunn, grandchildren Zan Bunn and husband Scott of Cary, NC, Davina Touchton and husband Robert of Raleigh, NC, Doyle Bunn and wife Rhonda of Richmond, VA, along with adored great-granddaughter Reagan. She is survived by a step-daughter Peggy Ritch, a special niece Brenda Bell, and many additional nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded ineeath by her husband Charles T. Ritch, son-in-law, Colonel Bunn, two brothers and five sisters. The service will be held on Sunday neember 7 at 2:30pm in the Chapel at Hall-Wynne, Durham. Burial will be at Woodlawneemorial Park, Durham. The family will receive friends Sunday, neember 7 from 1-2:30 pm immediately prior to the service. Make condolences online at www.hallwynne.com.
