Eugene Michael Biggs

Eugene Michael Biggs, known affectionately as Mike Biggs, passed away on June 30, 2024 in Durham, NC. He was a dedicated electrician for UNC Hospital Systems, where he served with diligence and skill. Mike, born on July 26, 1949, in Durham, NC, to his late parents. William James Biggs, II and Novella Johnson Biggs was a man of quiet strength and unwavering faith.

In his professional life, Mike excelled as an electrician and was highly regarded by his colleagues. His commitment to his work was commendable, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Outside of work, Mike was deeply involved in his community and church. A proud Elder in the church, he dedicated much of his time to serving others and strengthening his faith. His humility and kind spirit touched the lives of many. Unknown to many, Mike was an avid Duke fan and a professional wrestling fanatic.

Mike's proudest accomplishments included not only his successful career but also his role as a beloved husband, a loving father, and a cherished brother.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, William James Biggs II, mother, Novella Johnson Biggs, and brother, Larry Biggs. He is survived by his spouse, Sherry Daniel Biggs, son, William Michael Biggs, brother, William James Biggs (Myrna), sister-in-law, Delores Biggs, and a host of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Graveside Service to honor and remember Mike's life will be held at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church in Oxford, NC on July 3, 2024, the service will begin at 11:00 AM.

Eugene Michael Biggs will be remembered for his dedication to his work, steadfast faith, and the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace knowing he touched the hearts of many during his time on earth.
