Eugenia D. Timberlake

March 18, 1925 — February 14, 2021

Bullock, NC
On February 14, 2021, Eugenia “Jean” D. Timberlake went peacefully and gracefully to join her husband of 69 years, Jerry Timberlake, Jr. in their heavenly home.

Jean was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia to the late Marvin S. Douglas and Pearl E. Douglas on March 18, 1925. She went to business school in Richmond, Virginia, where she met her husband. Jean and Jerry moved to the Grassy Creek Community of Granville County in 1961 and created a home. For many years, Jean was the school secretary at Stovall-Shaw Elementary School. She was also an active member of the Grassy Creek Baptist Church. Jean loved to plan and cook for gatherings with family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Merton D. Nugent; her son in-law, Jay Little and her grandson, John A. Little.

Jean is survived by her daughters, Paige Little and Bonnie Cutts (Vann); her brother, Walter Douglas (Sue), her grandchildren, Jennifer Cutts (Teresa) and Keith Cutts (Sara) and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by may loving nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to name.

Funeral services will be conducted at Grassy Creek Baptist Church, Bullock NC, on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm weather permitting. Viewing will be held at the church prior to the service 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

If weather is bad, services will be rescheduled, please check the website for updates. At the families request, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the 6 special caregivers and to Kindred Hospice for the compassionate care to Jean and for the support of family, friends, and neighbors.
