EVELYN SATTERWHITE BROOKS Evelyn Satterwhite Brooks- age 90 a resident of Oxford died Tuesday September 9, 2008 in Brantwood Nursing Center. She was a native of Vance County and was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Ida Puckett Satterwhite. She was a member of Hester Baptist Church, the Rebecca Sunday School Class and the Senior Adult Activities Club. Mrs. Brooks was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Senior Center Vision Impaired Club. Funeral services will be held Thursday September 11, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Hester Baptist Church by Dr. Randy Bridges and Dr. Lavelle Waters. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Faulkner of Henderson; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Brooks of Henderson and J. David Brooks of Oxford; one sister-in-law neeine Satterwhite of Henderson; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Thomas Richardson, Timothy Brooks, Dave Brooks, Joseph Falkner, Sam Carrico, Tommy Brooks, Richard Brooks and Robert Edward Brooks. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30 at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of J.
