Evelyn Surratt Brogden

OXFORD: Ms. Evelyn Surratt Brogden, age 84, died peacefully with her family around her, Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Uneersal Health Care. Ms. Brogden was born on May 15, 1926 to I.V. Surratt aneemma Woodlief. She was preceded ineeath by her husband of 50 years, Rufus Junior Brogden and her son, Robert Wayne Brogden. Survivors include her 5 children, Rufus Wade Brodgen, Carolyn B. Critcher Bob, Judy B. Ellington Ralph, Cathy B. Peters Doug and Janet B. Wilkerson Brad. She leaves 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was retired from Ideal Fastener Corporation where she was a dedicated employee for over 25 years. Funeral services will be held oneednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Shelley. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday night, December 28 at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. and at other times at the home of her daughter, Carolyn Critcher, 5639 Hebron Road, Oxford.
