Evelyneeagroves Ward

Mrs. Evelyneeagroves Ward, 93, of Morehead City, formerly of Pittsboro, died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City. She was born May 16, 1914 in Chatham County to James Frederick and Donnah Dorsett Seagroves. Mrs. Ward was a member of Pittsboro Presbyterian Church. She was preceded ineeath by her parents; her husband, Edward T. Ward; and also by a son, James Dale Ward. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Edward D. and Rosemond Ward of Newport, NC; daughter-in-law, Lynneeath Ward of Newport, NC; sister, Georgia S. Beard of Pittsboro; brother, Harold T. Seagroves, Sr. of Pittsboro; and two grandsons, Edward D. Ward, Jr. and Graham Marshall Ward, both of Raleigh. A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. Troy Lesher-Thomas at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Pittsboro. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday at Griffin Funeral Service and Cremation in Pittsboro. Memorial contributions may be given to either Hospice of Carteret County, PO Drawer 1619, Morehead City, NC 28557, or to Pittsboro Presbyterian Church, 95 East Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
