Evelyneertrude Currin

OXFORD: Evelyneertrude "Trudy" Currin age 80 died August 29, 2008 at Brantwood Nursing Facility. She was a native of Granville Co. and the daughter of the late Thomas Royal and Stella Barnes Currin. Trudy graduated from Oxford High School and worked at the Union National Bank and Leggett's in Oxford before beginning a 37-year employment at the office of Dr. C. B. Finch, where she made many friends through her work registering and filing insurance for patients. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday September 1, 2008 from Hester Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. James C. Shelley Jr. She is survived by one son, Richard Duty Currin, Jr. and wife June, of Raleigh NC. ; one daughter, Bess Currin Adcock and husband Mike, of Oxford NC.; four-grandchildren Nathan, Ashley, Rebecca and Sarah. She was preceded ineeath by her husband Richard Duty Currin, and four brothers, Ed, Harry, Jessie and James Currin and four sisters, Alice, Myree, Anee Laura Wilkerson and Bessie Currin Jones. Visitation for the family will be from 7 to 8:30 PM Sunday at Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home, 503 College Street, Oxford NC and at other times at the home of Mike and Bess Adcock, 1515 Lewis Jones Rd., Oxford NC.
