Faye Aileen Hobgood

GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVICE - 11:30 am on WEDNESDAY, 11-16-2022

Faye Aileen Hobgood, age 77, died peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Roy Tyree Hobgood, Jr. and Mozelle O’Briant Hobgood. Faye was born in Granville County, NC on October 16, 1945.

Faye is survived by her son, Jackie Wayne Duke; her daughter, Martha Ann Duke; her sister, Josie Laraine Brogden; and her brother, Roy Tyree Hobgood (Darla). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shalaynna Hanrahan (Ryan), Kevin Hicks, Megan Hicks, Dylan Hicks, Courtney Hicks and 3 great grandchildren. She will be missed by Loretta Ball (Wayne) and many nieces, nephews, and extended family too numerous to name.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Mitchell O'Briant Hobgood and her husband, Jackie Duke, Sr 

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 11:30 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church NC and officiated by Reverend Norma Roberts.  Faye is open to the public at Gentry-Newell & Vaughan, normal business hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Granville County Animal Shelter.
