Florence Neal Blalock

Mrs. Florence Neal Blalock, age 95, passed away on September 29, 2022. She was a life long Durham resident and a graduate of Durham High School Class of 1945. She received her diploma from UNC-G Commercial Class of 1946.

Mrs. Blalock was an ardent Duke fan and was employed in the Duke Athletic Department as Assistant Business Manager for 20 years. When time allowed she delivered Meals On Wheels and visited with patients at the Methodist Retirement Home.

She was predeceased by Howard, her husband of 63 years, and her beloved daughter Lisa. She is survived by her daughter Debbie, her son Mike and her daughter-in-law Sandi, treasured extended family in North Carolina and Virginia, and cherished friends she considered family.

Mrs. Blalock, who was an animal welfare supporter, is also survived by her adored cat Kiwi.

Mrs. Blalock was cremated and, at her request, no service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
