Durham Mrs. Florine Davis, 93, wife of the late Mark Davis, died peacefully early Friday morning with her sons by her side. Mrs. Davis was the youngest of three daughters born in Creedmoor to her late parents, Johnee T. Curl and Minee Daniel Curl. She is survived by sons Doug Davis and wife Patsy, and Tommy Davis and wife Kathy. Her oldest son, Johnny Mark Davis preceded her ineeath. Mrs. Davis is also survived by grandchildren Katherine Davis Elkes and husband Marty, Allison Davis, Brittany Davis, Perry Davis and wife Megan, Clay Cawthorne and wife Cathy, Cyndi Jackson and husband Ian, and great grandchildren Tripp Elkes, Ashleigh Cawthorne and Cate Jackson. In addition she is survived by several nieces and nephews that are the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of her two sisters that preceded her ineeath, Mrs. Katie Lee Curl Currin and Mrs. Ruby Curl Norgaard. The family would like to thank Dr. Jill Allen and the staff of Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville, VA, and Halifax Regional Hospice in South Boston, VA for the loving care provided to our mother ineer declining years. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1004 N. Mangum St, Durham, NC 27701. The funeral service will be on Monday, September 27th, at 2 PM, at Grace Baptist Church with the family receiving visitors beginning at 12:30 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Reverend Preston Stainback. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bullock, Jimmy Glover, Perry Davis, Carl Norgaard, Clay Cawthorne, Marty Elkes, Robert Horton and Clay Holloway. The family is being assisted by Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
