On March 15th, Frances Freck, 83, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother passed into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ. Frances was born April 9, 1928 in Copiah County, MS and grew up ineemphis, TN, but was a longtime resident of Denver, Colorado, having moved there in 1958 to pursue her career as a cytotechnologist at the Uneersity of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Years later, after retiring, she moved to Durham, North Carolina to be close to the family of her only son, Dean. She enjoyed healthy cooking and healthy living, reading about U.S. History and spending time with her two granddaughters, Julianne and Natalie. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and will be remembered by her family for her strength of character and unwavering devotion. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Merrill Freck of Durham, her soneean Freck, wife Jill and two granddaughters, Julianne and Natalie of Durham, her niece Margaret Frances Escott and husband Norman Johnston of Naples, Florida and her nephew Tom Escott, wife Tammy and children Lisa and Kevin of Suamico, Wisconsin. A Funeral Service will be offered 3:00 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from The Chapel at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701 with Rev. Jerry Currin, presiding. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 1113 West Main Street, Durham, NC 27701. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Frances's nee may be made to the Davita The Kidney Trust 1350 Bayshore Highway, Suite 777 Burlingame, CA 94010 make checks payable to The Kidney Trust.
