Frances Josephine Lacey

Frances Josephine Lacey died neember 1, 2008 at home in Durham, NC. "Jo" Lacey, beloved wife of the late Gordon J. Lacey, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas oneebruary 19, 1921 to Alonso aneemma Jones. She and Gordon raised their family in Buffalo, NY where Gordon worked for the FBI while Jo worked for the State Uneersity of New York. Jo is survived by four of her six children; Michael J. Lacey and wife Kathleen; Daniel J. Lacey and wife Lynda; Jeffrey T. Lacey and wife Laurie Ogden; and loving daughter and companion Theresa M. Lacey. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren; Matthew M. Lacey and wife Shannon; Allison Kate Lacey; Brian P. Lacey and his wife Cassie; and a great grandchild Finnian C. Lacey. In addition to her husband Gordon, she was preceded ineeath by two dedicated sons; Christopher J. Lacey and Mark D. Lacey. The family would like to acknowledge the superb care given to Jo by Duke Uneersity Hospital aneespecially by Dr. Mitch Heflin and Quinn Moyer and the entire geriatric team; and special thanks to Frances Kelly. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, neember 6, 2008 from St. Paul's Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Rd., New Bern, NC. A graveside service will immediately follow in the St. Paul's Catholic Church Cemetery.
