Frank Garner Wilson, age 88, died on August 12, 2020. He was born to the late Robert E.Wilson and Lucy Dickerson on July 28, 1932 in Stovall, NC.
Frank is survived by his wife of 16 years, Madelyn Wilson; his daughter, Nancy W. Heald; his grandchildren, Joshua Heald, TJ Faircloth and Dylan Wilson; his great grandchildren, Juna Heald and Maddox Heald. He will be greatly missed by many friends and family too numerous to name.
Frank is predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Carolyn Wilson; his son, Frank G. Wilson, II; and his grandson, Matthew Heald.
Throughout his entire life he was a kind hearted religious man. He was in the navy for 3 years, then became a Raleigh city motorcycle cop for 7 years. When he retired from the force he went into sales, selling fire alarms and purification systems for the next 25 years. He then lived out the rest of his life in Oxford, NC going to church every Sunday and entertaining all of his company he had over with his many stories. He was one of the nicest people you will ever meet and will be greatly missed by everyone.
Public viewing hours for extended family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Funeral Home is limited to no more than 10 guests at a given time and masks are required.
A family graveside service will be held at Marrow’s Chapel UMC Cemetery officiated by Reverend Wayne Clark. The public is invited to view the service remotely by following the link provided above.
