Frank Wayne Bunn

WAKE FOREST- Mr. Frank Wayne Bunn, 77, passed away, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Durham Nursing Home.

Mr. Bunn was born December 14, 1945, to the late Frank and Lois Bunn in Durham, North Carolina. He worked for 30 years at American Tobacco Company in Durham. Mr. Bunn was of the Methodist Faith. He loved building things with his hands. Mr. Bunn remodeled his home and built a gorgeous gazebo and decks. He was always the life of the party and kept everyone laughing. Mr. Bunn will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Bunn is preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Bunn.

Mr. Bunn is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 58 years, Doris Long Bunn; son, Wayne Bunn and His Wife Katheryn; daughter, Angie Bunn East; grandchildren, Colton Chase Burgess (Abbey), Ayden Bobbitt, Devyn Bobbitt, Skylar Bobbitt, Ethan Wayne Bunn, Molly Stanly, Robert Barnes, and Jeffery Kath.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at Old Maplewood Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Charlie McNeil.

Flowers are acceptable.

The family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
