Fred Thomas Pugh, Jr.

Mr. Fred Thomas Pugh, Jr. 69, of NC 87 North, Pittsboro, died October 31, 2011 at UNC Hospital following a sudden illness. Born October 30, 1942 in Randolph County, Fred was the son of Fred T. Pugh, Sr., and Ruth Moffitt Pugh. He received his degree from NC State ineeef cattle maneement. Fred retired in 1995 from Burroughs Wellcome as a purchasing agent. Fred enjoyed farming; he was passionee about horses and the western lifestyle, loved his dogs, and was a hobbyist blacksmith. Fred was a member of Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Clark Pugh; sons, Andy Pugh of Pittsboro, Fred T. Pugh, III and his wife Mary, of Charlotte; grandson, William Thomas Pugh; sister-in-law, Ardith Pugh of High Point; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded ineeath by a brother, David Pugh. The funeral service for Mr. Fred Pugh will be held at 11 o'clock Friday morning, neember 4, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Uneed Methodist Church, 7019 Pleasant Hill Church Rd., Siler City. The Rev. Ray Gooch will preside. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 7 9 pm Thursday at Hall - Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro.
