Garland Hays Talton

Garland (Butch) Talton passed away on December 18th, 2020. He was born in June 1943.

He was preceded in death by his father, Moses Garland Talton; his mother, Frances Hendron Talton and his sister, Mary Katherine Talton.

Butch was a beloved and kind person who loved his family. His favorite past time was watching old movies and reading science fiction novels. Two lifelong friends were Sylvia James and Bill Dickerson. After his cancer diagnosis, he was cared for by Kieva Clark, a special person who also became a special friend.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Talton family is proudly being served by Gentry-Newell & Vaughan of Oxford, NC and the Cremation Society of Georgia.
