George Paris Homschek

George Paris Homschek, age 72 of Oxford, NC, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on January 18, 2018. He was born in Hi Hat, KY on June 12, 1945 to the late Eugene Homschek and Greta Brown Homschek. He was preceded ineeath by his brother, Freddie; parents; and grandson Tyler. George is survived by his wife of 20 years, Inja Lee Homschek; daughter, Anee Whitt (Karl); son, John Homschek (Spring); and grandchildren, Drew, Jake and Avery. He is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family, and friends. George graduated from East Tennessee State Uneersity on 1973 and worked for Burlington Industries and Lenox China. He loved to spend time outside being under the warm sun, He enjoyed going to the beach, spending time playing cards with friends, telling jokes, and having fun times. A memorial service will be held at the Gentry-neell & Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel, 503 College St., Oxford, on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 4:00 pm with visitationeeld the hour prior. A private cremationeeremony was previously held.
