Geraldine Farmer Couch

Geraldine Farmer Couch died Tuesday at Treyburneealthcare Center. A Durham native who recently celebrated her 80th birthday on August 3, Mrs. Couch was born to the late John Samuel and Matoka Pickett Farmer. She was a kind-hearted lady with a genee nature who brought great joy to her family and friends. Mrs. Couch retired from UNC Hospitals as a switchboard operator and later voluneered her time to help with the Meals on Wheels program. She is survived by her three loving children: Patricia Beck and husband, Paul, of Hurdle Mills, NC; Theresa Schuessler and husband, Bill, of Timberlake, NC; and John Charles Couch of Sanford, NC; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Couch was preceded ineeath by her son, Charles Russell Couch. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 19, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery, Hurdle Mills. Friends may visit Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home.
