Geraldine Hunt Bumpass

Geraldine Hunt Bumpass, 87, of, Durham, NC, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at home. A native of Durham, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer L. Hunt, Sr. and Nellie Long Hunt.
Geraldine was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Durham.
Geraldine was married to the late Jesse Olive Bumpass for 63 years. Geraldine was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wilmer (Bill) L. Hunt, Jr. and Danal (Dan) L Hunt, and a sister, Peggy Tilley. Geraldine is survived by her two sons, Wayne Bumpass and wife, Laura, and Rodney Greg Bumpass and wife, Carol, both of Durham; one daughter, Cathy Wilkerson and husband, Brad of Todd, NC; grandchildren, Mark Bivins of Hillsborough, and Kimberly Bock of Boone, NC, several great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and so many more loving extended family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held 1:00pm, Monday, March 15, 2021 at Maplewood Cemetery, Durham, with the Dr. David Trump officiating.
