Geraldine Louise Seibert

May 10, 1933 — January 19, 2022

Geraldine (Gerry) went to God’s Glory after a long and fulfilling life.

Geraldine (Gerry) was a woman of sincere faith who greatly loved her family and friends. She was kind and gracious to all she met, she never met a stranger. Geraldine would often say “I am a child of the living God, and Jesus is my Lord and Savior, everyone needs to know him.”

Geraldine was born in the Bronx, N.Y. and spent most of her married life on Long Island, with her late husband Raymond, of 49 years, and their 4 daughters; Patricia (& Leslie) MacNeil, Laura (& Gerard) Hall, Geraldine Seibert and Linda (& Bill) Howard.

Geraldine loved music, dancing, singing, and always a hot cup of tea. She was a member of the Tri-County Banjo Society and one of the founding members of The Long Island Banjo Society. She moved to Durham, N.C. 2009 and made new friends wherever she went.

Geraldine was a loving mother, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of 6. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and in August 2021 at the family reunion, was surrounded by the whole clan.

Geraldine enjoyed parties and people, and attended many festive events with her beautiful smile and sparkling green eyes.

Now in heaven, she is reunited with her husband, Raymond, her parents, and other loved ones. They are praising God and having a great party! As mom would say “Auf Wiedersehen - Until we meet again.”

After Glow

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when day is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun

Of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done
