OXFORD: Gladys Wade Henderson, age 80 of 300 Hunter's Road, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her home. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of Malcom Bright Wade and Lula Mae Morrison. She was a member of Salem Uneed Methodist Church. She was a nurse and retired from the Vance County Health Department. Gladys and James were married 55 years, their love grew deeper over the years. She was preceded ineeath 17 days earlier by her husband James. She was the loving mother of Bryant of Oxford, Patricia Jim London of Los Angeles, and George Priscilla of Kittrell. Grandmother of Jimmy, Sara, Kate, James, Tracie Brain, Chris, Nicole, Patricia Norwood, Jenneer, Michelle Carrie; great-grandmother of Kyrah, Frederick, Vincent, Alexander, Anneella, Giulianna, Phoebe, and Aiden. J.W. Currin was a special friend to James and Gladys. She was preceded ineeath by her sisters Louise, Beatrice, Doris and brothers Malcolm Bryant MB and Jack. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 PM Monday January 14th 2013 at Salem Uneed Methodist Church by Rev. Alaneelton and Rev, John Yount. Burial services for James and Gladys will follow in Sunset Gardens ineenderson, NC with Military Rites for James. Pallbearers are Norwood Baker, J.W. Currin Jr., Chris Henderson, James E Henderson, Brandoneeffries, and Brianeeffries. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 PM in the fellowship hall at Salem Uneed Methodist Church.
