Harold A. Currin

Oxford: Harold A. Currin, age 85, of Oxford, NC, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 21, 2016. A native of Granville County, he is the son of the late Willie Hayes and Mary Geneva Cole Currin. Mr. Currin was an active member of Hester Baptist Church and the Director of Rucker Recreational Association. As the Owner and Operator of Ball Four Park and of Currin Total Fitness Center, he was a devoted advocate for youth development and recreation. A devoted family man and was known for his love for animals, especially ???Daisy???. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm oneednesday, February 24, 2016 at Gentry-neell and Vaughan Chapel by Reverend Terry Howard. Burial will follow at Hester Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his wife Betty H. Currin, his sons Michael A. Currin (Christy) of Oxford, and Kenny Jay Currineellen) of Efland and his brother, Donald ???Chico??? H. Currin of Oxford. Survived by six grandchildren; Shayna, Blake, Tanner, Mitchell, Kory, and Taylor. Mr. Currin was predeceased by his sister, Alice Grey Currin.
