Harold Franklin Goodman

Harold Franklin "Frank" Goodman, 81, of Rock Springs Church Road, Pittsboro, died April 28, 2009 at UNC Hospitals following several years of declining health. Frank was born in Iredell County on April 13, 1928, a son of Harvey Goodman and Nora Josey Goodman. He was retired from the construction industry, where he had worked as a truck driver. Frank was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Pittsboro. Survivors include his sisters, Eva Riddle and Faye Hart, both of Mebane, Irma Ellis of Pittsboro, and Mary Sanders of Chapel Hill; and a brother, Hugh Goodman of Pittsboro. Frank was preceded ineeath by his wife, Ruth Hackney Goodman. The service to celebrate Frank's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 30, 2009 from the graveside at Bynum Uneed Methodist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Bob Wachs and Mr. Charles Grob will preside. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 8:00 pm Wednesday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, Griffin Chapel, in Pittsboro and at other times at the residence of Irma and Charles Ellis.
