Mrs. Helen Mae Ihle "Cookie" Baker, 66, of Moncure-Pittsboro Road, died June 25, 2011 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD on May 16, 1945, Cookie was the daughter of Albert F. Ihle and Heneetta Schafer Ihle. Cookie and her husband, Bill, moved to Pittsboro in 1988 from Grasonville, MD. She was employed by Lowe's Foods as a cashier and office maneer, and later owned and operated Cookie's Business Center. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William D. "Bill" Baker; a brother, Robert Ihle of Grasonville, MD; and a sister, Ethel Collier of Chestertown, MD. In addition to her parents, Cookie was preceded ineeath by three sisters. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 8:00 pm Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home in Pittsboro. The funeral and burial will be held at a later date ineeneeville, MD.
