Helen Quaintance Smith

Helen Quaintance Smith, 71, died January 7, 2006 in Duke Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Olive Quaintance of Silver Spring, MD. Mrs. Smith taught in Christian elementary education for many years at Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy and at Deerstream Learning Center in Durham. She graduated summa cum laude from Temple Uneersity 20 years after her high school graduation. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Robert; her sons, R. Scott Smith of Eagle, ID, Stuart Smith of Allentown, PA, and Christian Smith of Hillsborough; a sister, Lois Gregory of Craddockville, VA; and her seven grandchildren to whom she was devoted, Megan and Matthew Smith, Michael and Stephanie Smith, and Zachary, Erin and Caroline Smith.
