Hubert Irwin Mcmannen

Hubert Irwin McMannen, age 84, died Friday, October 4, in his Durham home. A Durham native, Hubert was born to the late George T. and Audrey Hamlett McMannen. He worked for 30 years at Liggett Myers as a pipefitter and was a long-time member of Aneer Ave. Baptist Church and the Cabin Sunday School class where he had a 60 year association. Hubert is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Nancy A. McMannen of Durham, NC; his son, Tim McMannen and wife, Lynne, of Durham; his daughter, Tonya Mauldin of Franklinton, NC; three brothers, Dr. Lewis McMannen and wife, Jan, of Ft. Myers, FL; Bobby McMannen and wife, Louise, of Winston-Salem, NC; Archie McMannen and wife, Pat, of Boone, NC; sister, Betty Tyson and husband, Harvey, of Henderson. NC; five grandchildren, Lindsay and Caitlin McMannen, April Oakley and husband, Mark; Jayme and Winston Mauldin; and one great-grandson, Tucker Oakley. He was preceded ineeath by his brother, George T. McMannen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham with the Rev. James Baggett presiding. Burial will follow in Woodlawneemorial Park. Friends may visit Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service. Members of the Cabin Sunday School class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
