Ida "Fay" Hogan Daniel

CHAPEL HILL ??? Ida ???Fay??? Hogan Daniel, age 87, died at Carol Woods Retirement Community on June 2, 2019. She was born on neember 9, 1931 to the late James Burroughs and Anee Hogan. Fay was a lifelong and active member of Orange Uneed Methodist Church. She graduated from the East Carolina Teachers College. She was a member of the UNC Uneersity Women???s Club aneexecutive Director of the Fraternity Trade Association. Ineer spare time, she enjoyed gardening and playing bridge. She loved to socialize aneentertain and adored being around her friends and family. Fay is survived by her three daughters, Jerri Smith (Brad), Bobbi Peneeton (Ron) and Diana Backus (Dave); her brother, Jim Hoganeelizabeth); her sister, Helen Yates; her seven grandchildren, Courtney Wilson (Chris), Blair Smith, Samantha Yahyapour (Michael), Kristeneeckham (Jay Marko), Eric Backus (Clara), Brittany Backus and Bailey Backus; and two great-grandchildren, Colton Yahyapour and Nora Backus. Fay was preceded ineeath by her husband, Robert Daniel, who passed in 1997. A funeral will be held oneednesday, June 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Orange Uneed Methodist Church, Chapel Hill, NC. The visitation will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow the service at OUMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orange Uneed Methodist Church, 1220 M.L.K. Jr Blvd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. The Daniel family is under the care of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
