Ida Ruth Goss Fiacco died Tuesday morning, February 19, at Hock Family Pavilion. Ida was 82 years old and suffered from poor health for many years. A Durham native, she was born to the late Henry T. and Clara L. Ellis Goss oneeptember 12, 1930. Ida worked for Blue Cross & Blue Shield as a claims analyst where she retired in 1995. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of nearly 50 years, Albert J. Fiacco of Durham; her brother, Bobby Goss and wife, Barbara; and sister, Maude Merritt, all of Durham; nieces and nephews: Gwynn Browneeorge; Marika Bates Jerry; Dorothy Rigsbee Robert; Scott Goss Holly; Wesley and Mac Merritt; Lynn Sigman Johnny; Ida Fay Riggs; Arney and Aubrey Hellstrum; and other nieces and nephews, Heather, Carl, Roxie, Brenda and Jenee; and members and bingo players of Town & Country Sportsman Club. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, from the Chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Service with the Rev. Bob Wachs presiding. Burial will follow in Markham Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service in Durham.
