Irene Ipock

Irene Ipock, age 87, died peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Hillcrest Convalescent Center. She was born in Craven County to the late Ellis and Vellie Ipock. Irene was a devoted member of Trinity Baptist Church and worked for the American Tobacco Co. for more than 40 years before her retirement. She is survived by her twin sister, Frances Inez Wynne of Durham; her brother, Glen Ipock and wife, Elizabeth "Snookie", of Grifton, NC; her nephews, Lenwood Dennis and wife, Carolyn, of Greensboro, NC; Jimmy Wynne, of Durham; and her niece, Tammy Ipock; and several loving great-nieces and great, great nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded ineeath by her brother, Preston Ipock. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 30th, at the Mausoleum of Woodlawneemetery with the Reverend Forest M. Gale, Jr. presiding. Friends may visit with the family following the service in the mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lowe's Grove Baptist Church, 4430 S.
