Irma Yolanda Aguirre

Irma Yolanda Aguirre Madrigal, age 72, died Durham, North Carolina on June 29, 2021. She was born on August 18, 1948, to the late Enrique Madrigal and Edelmira Madrigal Ramirez.

Irma completed third grade in elementary school. She committed herself to her children and became a stay-at-home mother and wife. Although she did not receive educational degrees or certifications; to her children she became a nurse, doctor, teacher, housekeeper, cook, which are just some of the many roles a mother has and where she works 24hrs and 7 days a week. These were her many achievements. She also worked diligently to bring hearts and souls closer to the Lord and our Lady, the Virgin Mary.
She did not have many hobbies having eleven children to look after, but she did collect as many children in the block we lived at to walk with us to Mass and catechism. In California she attended various churches but found and had her first encounter with Jesus Christ at the Presentation of Mary Catholic Church through the Charismatic renewal and since then started working for the Lord and our Lady. She loved introducing families to our Lady bringing her image to their houses and teaching them the pray and created a relationship with Jesus thru Mary. How important the praying the Rosary is for our salvation.

Irma is survived by children (Cecilia Velasque, Frank Aguirre, Monica Flora Aguirre, Irma Villareal, Angela Ambriz, Lourdes Hernandez, Jose Miguel Aguirre, Edelmira Amezquita, Juana Aguirre, Jesus Aguirre, and Maria Aguirre and more than sixty plus grandchildren and great- grandchildren combined. Siblings Henry Madrigal, Guillermina Velazquez, Fabian Madrigal, Beatriz Madrigal, Cristina Madrigal, and Victor Manuel Madrigal). (Irma) was preceded in death by (husband Miguel Aguirre, parents Enrique and Edelmira Madrigal, siblings Trinidad Gonzalez, Alejandro Madrigal, Luis Madrigal, Beto Madrigal, Juan Carlos Madrigal.

Rosary and viewing will be Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Rosary at 6:30 to 7:30 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Durham. Burial will follow at St. Mathews Catholic Church cemetery in Durham, North Carolina.
