DURHAM- Isobel Suggs Hall, 89, died Sunday at Durham Regional Hospital. A native of Durham, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lacy and Maggie Davis Suggs. Isobel was a graduate of the Durham High School Class of 1940. She retired after spending her career with the Veterans Administration Hospital and Duke Uneersity Hospital. A generous lady, with a great sense of humor, she loved crossword puzzles, books, dancing and a good joke. Isobel was talented at both sewing and sketching. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ashley and husband, Andy of Treasure Island, FL; Cindy Brothers and husband, Joe of Greenville, SC; sister, Sylvia Ray Freeman of Willington; grandchildren, David Brothers and Seth Ashley; nephew, Larry S. Brooks and niece, Sandra Freeman Cherry. She is also survived by a very special friend, Alice Mangum. Isobel was preceded ineeath by her sister, Elizabeth Claudine "Tiny" King and brother, Thomas Olive "Bud" Suggs. Friends may visit from 4:00 to 7:00pm Thursday at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service.
