James Arthur Morlan, age 64, passed away Tuesday September 25, 2012 at his home in North Carolina after a long and graceful journey with kidney cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Jorgenson, beloved son Christopher and his wife Jhana, big brother Lynn, two precious grandsons Aemon and Roane, and many dear friends near and far. He is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Fern, and brothers Robert and Henry. Jim took care of all those around him until the end, finding great peace and satisfaction ineelping others and sharing conversations on a staggering array of topics. Transported by the world of ideas, he would share them freely and joyously. Like so many areas before it--from meditation, religion, finance or string theory--death was a topic to be examined and curated thoughtfully along the way. His demeanor and openness during his illness was an inspiration to many. The family will gather for a celebration of Jim's life on Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2012 from 3 o'clock until 5 o'clock at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Home in Robbinsdale, MN www.gearty-delmore.com. Much of the story of that journey has been told at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/jimmorlan and there are more specific memories and messages than can possibly be recorded here.
