James Harold Critcher, age 99, died on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. He was born to the late Willie Critcher and Frances Mangum Critcher on February 23, 1921 in Granville County.
Harold, affectionately known by his wife as “Baby” was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was an active member of Tabbs Creek Baptist Church and a US Army WWII veteran.
Harold is survived by his wife of 72 years, Norma Leigh Critcher; son, Stanley Wilson Critcher; grandchildren, Stan Critcher, Jr. (Anne), Jennifer Schleis (Mike), Stacy Scheffen (Paul); great-grandchildren, Cody, Brody, and McKenzy. He is also survived by 4 nieces; 3 nephews; and many other loving extended family and friends.
Harold is predeceased by his parents; sister, Dorothy Critcher Walker; brothers, W. C. Critcher, and Waverly Nelson Critcher.
A private family graveside service will be held at Sunset Gardens in Henderson, NC on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Stan Jenkins, and Rev. Ken Compton officiating.
