James "Jim" Muldowney

James ???Jim??? Muldowney passed away on June 27, 2017 at Hock Hospice Family Pavilion in Durham, North Carolina.?? He was born on August 28, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Katherine (Lang) Muldowney, both of whom predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Patricia (Zancewicz) Muldowney; two daughters, Alanna Messimore and partner Tim Graham of Raleigh, NC; Teresa and husband Johneeardsley of Hertford, NC; and a son, John and wife Jessica Muldowney of Jefferson, NC.?? He was affectioneely known as ???Pops??? to his grandson, Memphis, who brought him bouneess joy.?? He is also survived by a brother, Joseph and wife Anne Muldowney of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a kind and thoughtful man who adored his wife, children, and grandson.?? He loved to play chess, ride his Harley motorcycle, and construct model trains.?? He was a graduate of the class of 1966 from Roman Catholic High School and worked for Digital Equipment Corporation for neerous years before moving to North Carolina with his family in 1989.?? He retired from Cisco Systems aneenjoyed spending time with his wife, family, and neerous friends. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 810 W. Chapel Hill Street, Durham, NC 27701. Following the service there will be a reception at the church.?? In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation, 321 Columbus Avenue, Suite 5R, Boston, MA 02116.
