James Milton Mcgowan

James Milton "Jimmy" McGowan, 77, died October 9, 2013 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Mr. McGowan was born May 13, 1936 in Haywood County, NC to Leslie E. McGowan and Julia Emma Weaver. He was a retired accountant. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy Ward McGowan and their two sons, James Martin McGowan, of Chapel Hill and Randall Keith McGowan with his wife Terri, of Pittsboro, NC; his brother, Lindy A. McGowan and his wife Jackie of Tampa, FL; his sister, Nancy Greene of Clyde, NC; and his two granddaughters, Katie Lynn McGowan and Ashlyn Brooke McGowan; neerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded ineeath by his parents, two brothers and a sister. The service will be held at 2 pm Sunday October 13, 2013 from the graveside at Cedar Grove Uneed Methodist Church cemetery, with the Reverend Leah Skaggs presiding. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
