DURHAM - Mrs. Jayne Delores Long Howard passed away at her home in Durham, North Carolina on June 13, 2015. She was the??youngest daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth McCloud Long and Walter Raleigh Long. She graduated from P.W. Moore High School in 1961 aneelizabeth City State Uneersity in 1965 she would later receive her Master???s Degree from Rutgers Uneersity in 1972. She married the late William B. Howard in 1971 and taught in Franklin Township Public Schools ineew Jersey for 25 years.??She??is survived by her daughter, Joyce Elizabeth Howard, grandchildren, Justine Marshall Martin and Isa??William??Moustafa Ayad all of Durham, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce E. Long, Justina M. Long and Gloria (Bea Bea)??Long Harrell (married to Arvineerome Harrell) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, brother Donald McCloud Long (married to Autrice Campbell Long) of Durham, North Carolina, beloved sister-in- law, Bernee H. Pitts of Braddock, Pennsylvania and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
