Jeannine Hunt Radford, age 91, passed away on June 29, 2024, at Universal Health Care. She was born in Warren County on November 2, 1932, to the late John H. Hunt and Annie Lois Harris.
Throughout her life, Jeannine was known for her simplicity and selflessness. Her dedication led her to graduate high school and earn a 2-year technical degree. She then pursued a fulfilling career in Social Services as an Administrator with Child Services. Jeannine was an active member with Oxford Baptist Church since 1967.
In 1952, Jeannine found love and companionship when she married her husband, James Radford. Together they built a loving family with four children: Susan Norby (Tom) of Zebulon, NC; Wesley Radford (Kathy) and Robert Radford (Bree) of Florida; and Steve Radford (Lisa) of Oxford, NC. She also leaves behind 9 cherished grandchildren and 5 beautiful great-grandchildren, along with a wide circle of family and friends who will deeply feel her absence.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, her seven siblings, and her beloved husband, James Radford.
A funeral service honoring Jeannine's life will be held at Oxford Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Brett Pardue presiding over the ceremony on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 2:00 -3:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The burial will take place at Meadowview Memorial Park. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be available for viewing online.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Jeannine may be made to Oxford Baptist Church, PO Box 398, Oxford, NC 27565.
