Jenneer Katherine Gessner, 16, of Pittsboro-Goldston Road, Pittsboro died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash. Jenneer was born in Orange County on January 3, 1992. She attended Emmaus Baptist Church where she had been active with the AWANA program. A home-schooled student, Jenneer was currently dual-enrolled at CCCC where she was studying theatre and history. Jenneer had recently appeared in the play "Back County Crimes" that was held at Chatham Mills. She loved her family and her friends, and also loved to shop for a "deal" especially at Beggars and Choosers. During the summer of 2008, Jenneer was a voluneer at Hickory Cove Bible Camp in Taylorsville. Surviving are her mother and step-father, Rebekah G. and Nathanael Burke "Bill" Hill, of the home; two sisters, Madison and Reagan Hill, of the home; grandparents, Tim and Jo Gessner of Pittsboro, Jerry and Judy Hill of Snow Camp; great-grandparents, Edna Gessner of Pittsboro, Lois Dickens of Asheboro, Vera and John C. Marley of Siler City; unee Matt Gessner and his family of Pittsboro, and several other aunts and unees. The service to celebrate Jenneer's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Emmaus Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Saturday at the fellowship hall of Emmaus Baptist Church, 2430 Silk Hope-Gum Springs Road, Pittsboro.
