Jessie Crawford O'Neill beloved wife of James "Jimmy" O'Neill died February 1, 2010 after an extended illness. She was a member of Epworth Uneed Methodist Church where many visits were much appreciated. Jessie left home, Erwin N.C, to enter Watts Hospital Nursing School. She became a cadet nurse during WWII. Subsequently she served as nurse, teacher, administrator, and recruiter for students for Watts Hospital Nursing School. She also planned and cared for all student activities. She was chosen exchangite of the year, a member of Watts Hospital Nursing Alumni as well as neerous civic clubs. Jessie vocation was her life; "a nurse is an angel" was her admonition to all her student nurses. Thank you to Bryaneenter and Hospice for her excellent care. A special gratitude for letting Jessie's waning mind think she was still the nurse in charge. Her smile will always remain Surviving are her brother, James Dace Crawford and wife, Helen, as well as 10 dearly loved nieces and nephews who became the children she neer had who she spent all birthdays and holidays with them. The family will visit with friends from 4-6 PM oneednesday at Hall- Wynne Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Harnett Memorial Park, Lillington, NC.
