Jesse Graham Aldridge

Jesse G. Aldridge died at Durham Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, after several years of declining health. Born in Orange County to the late Ida Mae and James W. Aldridge on October 22, 1921, Jesse attended Northgate Chapel in Durham. He retired from Wrights Machinery and Sperry-Rand Corp after 45 years of service. Jesse is survived by his wife, Violet P. Aldridge of Durham; his son, Randy G. Aldridge and wife, Clovis, of Wilmington, NC; a half-brother, W. Gilbert Aldridge of Chapel Hill, NC; a step-daughter, Terri B. Smith of Roanee, VA; a step-son, James C. Batten of Durham, NC; a step-granddaughter, Tara S. Harris of Wake Forest, NC; a step-grandson, Chad R. Smith of Virginia Beach, VA; and a step-great-granddaughter, Braelyn L. Harris of Wake Forest, NC. Jesse was preceded ineeath by his first wife, Lois G. Aldridge, who died in 1980. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 13, at Maplewood Cemetery, Section 15, with Evangelist Rod Sharp officiating. Friends may visit Friday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 at Hall-Wynne Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Durham Rescue Mission, P.O.
