Jia Wen Wang

DURHAM – Jia Wen Wang, age 25, died in her home on April 6, 2023. She was born on October 21, 1997 to Wai Kam Chan and Wen Duan Wang.

Jia was a Veterinary Technician at Southpoint Animal Hospital, where she had been working since 2015. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 2022, and had plans to attend veterinary school at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion and love for animals was discovered early during her time as a student at C.E. Jordan High School and has stayed with her ever since. Aside from spending time with her fur babies, Redd and Daisy, she also enjoyed playing games with her friends and family. Rain or shine, she loved to go for motorcycle rides with her boyfriend, Austin, and always lived life to the fullest.

Wang is survived by her parents Wai Kam Chan and Wen Duan Wang, and also her sisters Qian, Mary, and brother Alvin.

The service will be held at Hall-Wynne Funeral Chapel on April 22 at 1pm, with burial to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
