Jimmie K. Carson, born on January 12, 1944, in Lubbock, Texas, passed away with her children by her side on March 17, 2025, in Henderson, North Carolina. A devoted paralegal, Jimmie exemplified diligence and commitment throughout her career, working side by side with her brothers and sister in their law firm until her retirement.

Jimmie was known for her spirited, faithful and compassionate personality. She never met a stranger and she loved her family deeply and was cherished by those who knew her. A lively and feisty woman, she brought joy and laughter to any gathering. Jimmie was a passionate fan of the Texas Rangers baseball club. She loved her native state of Texas and wasn’t afraid to share that love and zeal with anyone she came in contact with. Some of her most treasured memories were created during adventurous trips to Alaska, South America to name a few, where she reveled in the beauty of nature and all that God created. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to be able to see the world traveling extensively throughout her life to countries near and far. Jimmie loved to garage sale, going to the movies and eating movie theater popcorn, as well as playing canasta with her family.

Jimmie's family legacy continues through her beloved son, Jimmy Jones (Jun), daughters, Kelly Penny (Jerry) and Kandy Tyson (Ron). She was the proud grandmother of Kourtney, Zack, and Dante Jones, Hogan, Riley, Alexis, and Dalton Penny as well as Jacob and Blake Lawson. Her legacy extends to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jimmie also leaves behind her loving sister, Tibitha Rhodes (Ricky), along with her numerous nieces and nephews. She shared a special bond with her niece, Donda Murph, which enriched her life greatly.

Jimmie's memory will be cherished by her loved ones, including her surviving family members: her son and daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, nieces and nephews. She is reunited in heaven with her brothers Joe and Izak Gregory, her sister Vickie Mahan, and her parents, Isaac Dow "Ike" Gregory and Joe Pearl Gregory.

As we remember Jimmie K. Carson, we honor a life filled with love, laughter, and the unwavering bonds of family that she valued above all. Her spirit will undoubtedly continue to inspire and be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.
