Jo Ann Elliott

Jo Ann Newton Elliott, age78, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1945, in Granville County, North Carolina to the late Victor Bagley Newton and Josephine Overton Newton.

Jo was known for having the biggest heart and loving her family unconditionally.

Jo will be deeply missed by her friends and family which include numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family too numerous to name.

Jo was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Russell Elliott and her siblings.

To honor Jo’s life, a service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Granville Memorial Park, located on Highway 15 S just before Shady Grove Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations in honor to be made to a local hospice agency of your choice.
