Joanna Karolina Park

Joanna Karolina Zielinska Park died suddenly on April 19, 2009. She was born in Poland on June 26, 1974 to Barbara and Wojciech Zielinski. The family emigrated to the U.S. in 1981 settling first in Riverside, CA , then later ineeno, NV. Joanneearned her PhD in Environmental Science from the Uneersity of North Carolina School of Public Health and she has made her home in Durham since 2000. Ineer professional life she consulted in environmental services with Aecom corporation. Ineer spare time Joanneenjoyed tennis, swimming, camping, and hiking. She is survived by her parents and her husband, Kevin Park. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday from the chapel of Hall-Wynne Funeral Services, 1113 West Main Street, Durham. with Father Dan McLellan of Immaculate Conception Parish officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral. Friends may visit 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
